I was recently told by a girl in her 30’s that she “doesn’t need an pads.” She was correct, but for me, kicking my ass in a sport is still a requirement. I have been doing this for as long as I can remember and have always enjoyed it. I will tell you though that I feel much better, not only when I am hitting the bag, but also when it is just my arm or my foot that is hurting.

Personally, I dont think this is a bad thing. I think it would make your workouts more effective, but I also think it would make you a slave to the machine. Its like going to the mall and getting a $12 pair of high heels. You love those shoes, but you love them too much. They have become your slave and it doesnt really matter what you do with them.
In the same way you could easily get a pair of high-heels that you love, you can get a pair of kicks that you love. You just dont because they have become your slave. You could even get a pair of shoes that you love (and hate) but you wont want to wear them because they have become your slave.
