You will need to cook the vegetables in the proper amount of time, and you will need to be sure you have the correct amount of broth.

For this recipe, I suggest using a 5 minute cooking time. You can check with your local grocery store to see if they have any pre-cooked vegetables or broth that you can pick up at the store. If you don’t have any, you can always order it online, but I think a 5 minute cooking time is enough to beat the pre-cooked vegetables.

What I mean is that while the vegetables aren’t necessarily better for you, the broth is. When you cook vegetables for a long period of time, the moisture they contain starts to evaporate. You’ll start to get a little skunk around your mouth, and if you don’t have the correct amount of broth in the right quantity, you’ll start to stink. I recommend starting with three cups of broth, three cups of water, and four cups of vegetables.
